Beverly Hills Public Library was designed by Charles Moore.The facility is visited by an average of more than 51,000 people per month and has a collection of 200,000 volumes. When you visit The Paley Archive at the Beverly Hills Public Library, you will be a part of a vibrant cultural community where families, students, scholars, artists, and more can explore and engage with the history of media. In addition to accessing the collection, visitors will enjoy a robust lineup of events Including Paley’s acclaimed Conversation with a Curator series making its West Coast debut and the new exciting family series From Storytime to Screentime. Often referred to as a national treasure, the Paley Archive—The Paley Center for Media’s permanent collection—is an invaluable resource that began with 718 broadcast programs and has since evolved into a world-class media collection featuring over 160,000 television and radio programs and advertisements. The Paley Archive offers an extraordinary window into the history of entertainment, sports, and news capturing the moments that continue to shape us as a society. It is at The Paley Archive where you can find iconic media moments such as the infamous War of the Worlds radio broadcast or take a tour of the White House with Jacqueline Kennedy. You can relive the game-changing premiere of MTV and experience the glory of the Super Bowl starting from the early games all the way through to the recent victories of the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams! You can laugh along with classic television shows including I Love Lucy, Seinfeld, and The Golden Girls, and enjoy today’s most buzzworthy shows.
