The BnF's François-Mitterrand site is composed of two libraries: an all-public library open from Tuesday to Sunday, a research library open from Monday to Saturday. The various access titles allow you to access the reading rooms as well as our cultural programming. Free access spaces allow you to enjoy workspaces outside the reading room and to freely visit the building. The four open book-shaped towers delimit the perimeter of the esplanade. They house seven floors of offices protected by mobile wooden shutters and eleven floors of shops

Need To Know/Community Rules

The Library for all audiences is open to everyone from the age of 14. There is a separate charge (5euros) - Access tickets are on sale on site in the reception hall or via our online ticket office. The BnF Reading​/​Culture Pass gives you unlimited access to the Library's reading rooms for all audiences but also to our exhibitions, concerts and shows.
